Commonwealth Home Support Program

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) helps older people obtain basic, introductory support services so they can continue to live independently and safely at home.

The CHSP services are designed to assist you in completing important tasks you can no longer do safely or effectively for yourself.  You can also be supported to maintain strong social connections and to continue your involvement in your community.

In most instances you would need to make a small hourly contribution to the cost of the services you receive, although the bulk of the cost is met through the Government’s funding.

If you need more intensive support than is available through CHSP, you may benefit from having a Home Care Package or making use of our Private Services.
